Exercise Group for over 50
Classes are run in with an emphasis on making fitness fun in a supportive environment. The session allows older adults to find an activity that suits their capabilities, but offers a chance to move to something more / less challenging should they want that.
Exercises include balance work, using resistance bands and hand weights, and movements to increase flexibility as well as arm raising movements but this is much more than an exercise class there’s a cup of tea thrown in at the end and plenty of laughs too!
If you need some activities to do in your home until you can come to class here's some exercises you could take a look at. Remember to check with your GP before attempting anything that's new to your exercise routine and most importantly listen to your body. Even daily short walks locally are great for the body and wellbeing!
